Results: Summer Paralympics

In 2014, I discovered the Paralympics for the first time. I started watching mainly out of curiosity, even though I am a fan of the Olympics and watch both the Winter (my favorite) and Summer versions. But I was hooked almost immediately. I (a so-called "able-bodied" person who only needs reading glasses) am not at all athletic and was blown away by the ability of these folks, who have severe physical disabilities (such as missing one or more limbs), visual disabilties (legally blind or close to it), or even both. I found it truly amazing and inspiring.

I feel that even though who "don't like or follow sports" would be inspired to see what these disabled athletes are able to accomplish. With this in mind, will you consider watching at least part of the Summer Paralympics? Yes - I enjoy the Olympics and look forward to the Paralympics

Did you know that double amputee snowboarder Amy Purdy (who was a finalist on "Dancing with the Stars" in 2014) plans to dance at the opening ceremonies of the Paralympics? Yes, and she is an amazing inspiration - I plan to watch her performance
