Results: Toronto Raptors + Kraft Dinner = Winning Combination

For the very first time in franchise history, Canada -- and more specifically, Toronto has a team in the NBA Finals. The Toronto Raptors dribbled and shot their way to face the Milwaukee Golden State Warriors, argumentatively the best team in the NBA (winning three times out of the last four years) in what will undoubtedly be an edge of our seat series for Canada basketball fans. And probably the number one reason is Kawhi Leonard, the phenomena who has only played one season with the Raptors, and is actually set to become a free agent at the end of June. It appears that Toronto is desperate to keep Kawhi here with offers pouring in for him to stay: if Kawhi chooses to stay in Toronto he will receive a multi-million dollar penthouse condo completely for free, restaurants around the city of Toronto are making policies that Kawhi can eat for free there, and now Kraft Dinner is offering a lifetime supply of their mac and cheese to the superstar if he signs with the Raptors again. Kraft Dinner was originally marketed with the slogan "a meal for four in nine minutes for an everyday price of 19 cents." Kraft Dinner has been called the de facto national dish of Canada. Canadians purchase 1.7 million of the 7 million boxes sold globally each week and eat 55% more Kraft Dinner than Americans. The meal is the most popular grocery item in the country. Although I have actually never purchased Kraft Dinner, my children have had it at friends' homes and asked me to buy it all the time when they were younger. I tried making my own "home made" version, but they felt it wasn't the same. How about you?

Getting back to the game, tickets are selling for unbelievable prices. The official ticketing partner of the NBA — Ticketmaster — began selling tickets at 6 p.m. ET on Monday. There were more than 2,000 people in an online queue waiting to buy tickets when they went on sale. Thirty minutes after tickets went on sale, they had sold out. While standard NBA playoff tickets usually cost between $100 and $1,200, these prices have seen huge increases for the finals. StubHub, a ticket reseller had its lowest-priced tickets priced at $883.19, while its best tickets were selling for $60,487. That's for one seat. Would you pay these prices to see a sporting event?
