After propelling itself into competition with U.S internet service providers, Google is looking to compete in the wireless service market as well. Google executives have been rumored to discuss their hope of proposing wireless services to markets in which they have Google Fiber Internet and TV. Google has been reported to be in talks with Verizon to become a MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) in which they would buy wireless services in bulk from Verizon and selling it under their own brand. Currently Google offers Internet at speeds of up to 1,000 Mbps compared to the standard 15 Mbps at a lower price.
