Results: Doppelgangers and Doubles

Have you heard of "doppelgangers" prior to this survey?

A doppelganger isn't someone who just resembles you, but is an exact double, right down to the way you walk, act, talk, and dress. Do you think it is possible in real life?

In LITERATURE, a doppelganger is usually shaped as a twin, shadow, or a mirror-image of a protagonist. Sometimes, a doppelganger is a person's past or future self. Have you read a book in which a protagonist met his /her doppelganger?

It is said that there are 7 people in the world who look like you.

A paragraph from a story: "..... and bit by bit, I learned there is a woman in my vicinity, a spy from other dimension, no doubt! She looks like me, wears my hats, drives my blue van, owes a couple of dogs. She speaks with my accent. And she is as elusive as a black cat in a dark room. I always miss her "by a minute". "Your double was just here! You missed her by a minute!", a store clerk announces merrily......"

You look at yourself in a mirror each day. You have an image of your FACE in your mind. Is it possible that others DON'T perceive your facial features / characteristics in the same way YOU do? When you look at a mirror you see an image of yourself with left and right reversed. It will make certain features of your face smaller and others a little larger. We don't really know what we look like. The image we have of ourselves is NOT how other people see as.
