Trivia
Travel may be discouraged for most of us this year, but that doesn't mean we can't explore some fascinating destinations. So, to make the world a bit more accessible and fun, let's discover one "no-way-it's-true", fascinating fact about countries you may not know -- even if you've travelled to them before. In a nod to one survey creator who has mastered the art of the multi-part survey (always enjoy those ones), here's part 3 of your world travel trivia.

There's an annual festival in the Southeast Asian nation of Thailand that pays homage to its many monkeys. During the Monkey Buffet Festival, residents of Lopburi provide 4.5 tons of fruits, veggies and candies to the 3,000 monkeys that live around the ancient temple of Phra Prang Sam Yot. This feast is held in celebration of Lopburi's thousands of macaques, thought to bring good luck to the area and its people. The Monkey Buffet Festival kicks off with an opening ceremony that includes performances by dancers in monkey costumes. Do you think you would enjoy attending this celebration?

Tea is big in the United Kingdom — locals reportedly drink 165 million cups a day. But it was a Portugeuse woman who first brought the drink to the isles. After Catherine of Braganza wed King Charles II in 1662, her favourite drink of choice, tea from China, quickly caught on in the royal palace, then the rest of the country. Are you a tea drinker?

The Kalenjin tribe in this East African country of Kenya produces the world's best long-distance runners. In one Berlin marathon a few years ago, male runners from this single tribe placed first, second, third, fourth and fifth; women runners from the tribe nabbed first, second and fourth place. Have you ever run a marathon?

Caño Cristales, a river in the South American country of Columbia, is referred to as the "liquid rainbow" because of its many vivid colours, which are produced from the reproductive process of aquatic plants. Of all the colours this river gives off, its shades of blue, black, red, yellow, and green are the boldest. Although it appears that the river is giving off these colours naturally, the appearance of its rainbow nature actually comes from plant life that lives well below the surface of the water. The process by which it occurs only happens in the Caño Cristales river, making the location just as unique as its appearance. Have you ever visited this incredible sight?

There is famous, and then there is Argentine Famous. Argentine Diego Maradona is one of the best soccer players of all time. He is so popular in his home country that some 120,000 people worship at the Church of Maradona. Their version of the Lord's Prayer? "Our Diego/Who art on earth/Hallowed be thy left foot/Thy magic come,/Thy goals be remembered." Can you think of another celebrity so famous that he/she warrants this much national adoration?
