Results: Wonder Woman...And She's Only 14 Years Old

Is there anything Zaila Avant-garde can't do? Not only did this 14-year old from New Orleans win the US Scripps National Spelling Bee earlier this month, she already holds three world records for dribbling multiple basketballs at once, and has appeared in an advertisement with the NBA megastar Stephen Curry. At only 14, she has been offered scholarships at three universities when she's ready to attend. Tulane University, Louisiana State University and Southern University each offered Avant-garde full scholarships days apart. Have you heard about this admirable young woman?

Avant-garde claimed the Scripps National Spelling Bee Championship, making history in the process as the first African American winner and first champ from Louisiana. She claimed victory with the word "murraya", a type of tropical tree. To get to that point she had to spell out "querimonious" and "solidungulate". Does anyone here think they could have spelled any of these three words?

I pride myself on my spelling, but do not think I could have spelled any of those words. According to Reader's Digest, these words are the most often misspelled words in the English language -- and interestingly enough, one of these words is the word "misspell".
