People's Climate March

The People's Climate March (PCM) is a large-scale activist event to advocate global action against climate change, which took place yesterday in New York City. Over 100,000 people joined the march which was conceived as a response to (but not a protest against) the scheduled U.N. Climate Summit of world leaders to take place in New York City two days later, on September 23. The U.N. General Assembly will bring together 120 world leaders to discuss reducing carbon emissions that threaten the environment. Although based in NYC, there's over 2000 events in over 160 countries scheduled, including Australia, India, Afghanistan and Brazil.
