A 78 year old man was injured by police after calling 911 for his wife with dementia who had broken a window and hurt herself. Did you hear about this story?

When the police arrived before the paramedics, they found the man holding his wife's hand as she called out for help. They immediately ran towards him and knocked him to the ground. When they told him to get up, he said he couldn't after which they threw him outside on the gravel and two officers got on top of him to put him in handcuffs. Do you think this was a justified response given the circumstances?
