For a city with a population of only about 700,000, in the prairies of Manitoba, Canada, Winnipeg has been the birthplace of many famous celebrities. Growing up in Winnipeg, and moving away when I was in my early twenties, I always was amazed at the talented individuals who claimed Winnipeg as their birth place, to say nothing of the stars who were raised there, but born elsewhere--like Neil Young. How many of these famous Winnipeggers are you familiar with?
