We didn't have any luxuries to offer our kids so they definitely were NOT spoiled. And now they're all good, decent people who are respectful of others. But I really think that whatever you have or don't have, it takes a combination of good parenting, good teachers, good friends, and good luck. Not easy being a parent!

Actually, @pitbullbabe it IS possible. If his mother were born in 1978 and had a child at the age of 16 (as some women are prone to do) then Darian would be 18 right now. Without knowing the ages of either of them, what IS impossible is to tell others that isn't possible while being correct. Sincerely, a generation Y baby that can do simple math.

Very biased question, I have nieces and nephews in this group and they are very polite and helpful, you get the behavior out of people that you expect, If you expect the best of someone you will get their best.

Wow, way to generalize. My mother and I are both from this generation and we definetly don't think we are better than anyone else, EVER. We were raised not to judge others and I certainly don't think that I "own" anyone.
