  • using a switch is a harsh form of spanking, but it's not abuse because its not beating, torture, etc. also the purpose was discipline. punching is beating which is assault, etc. it's purpose is to satisfy the anger of a person who has lost control, and control another person through fear. sick!

  • it depends. i know this kind of thing is frowned upon but i was whipped with belts, switches, spoons, etc. and i am not a violent person nor have i hit anyone in my adult life. i suspect adrian was whipped as a child as well. sometimes children need strong discipline.

  • however, both nfl players need counseling and therapy. i feel the nfl should pay for services for their players as playing and practicing a rough sport like football will cause anger issues
  • he should have known better...even though he was brought up this way doent make it right
  • hitting a child teaches that child that violence is the answer. why aren't we allowed to hit adults who do something wrong? it's perfectly ok to hit a child because they can't hit back!
  • i say no because of the fact that it is still legal in 16 states to strap your child, i am against using anything other than a slight tap on the ass in extreme cases but only with the hand that way its more of a shock to the child and embarrassement if you pull there pants down in front of others.
