Canadians have more trust in Carney than they did in Trudeau

Canadians have more trust in Prime Minister Mark Carney now than they did in former prime minister Justin Trudeau after he was first elected and during his last days in office, a new poll suggests. The poll found that 52 per cent of Canadians said they trust Carney as of May 2025, while just 26 per cent said they trusted Trudeau in January.

No Mow May

No Mow May encourages skipping lawn mowing in spring to support pollinators and conserve water. The movement has grown to include “Let It Bloom June” and “Leave the Leaves” in fall, promoting year-round eco-friendly lawn care. Advocates say reducing mowing and allowing native plants to grow can save water and improve ecosystems. American lawns, based on English and French traditions, are increasingly seen as a wasteful monoculture that encourages an overuse of pesticides, fertilizer and water. Critics, however, argue that short-term efforts may do little and risk spreading invasive species.
