Canadians crown maple syrup as nation's most iconic food or drink: survey

A majority of Canadians name maple syrup as the country's most iconic food and drink, according to a recent survey. A Narrative Research survey released on Dec. 14 found that 58 per cent of Canadians surveyed said maple syrup was the nation's most iconic food, with poutine ranking in second place at 17 per cent. Other notable mentions include beer at four per cent, salmon at four per cent, caesars at three per cent and Nanaimo bars at three per cent. -Saltwire.com
