A new survey commissioned by YMCA Canada reveals that a staggering 60% of Canadians feel disconnected from their community.
Approval of Trudeau’s performance at just 33%
Around two-thirds (67%) of Canadians now disapprove of Justin Trudeau's leadership as Prime Minister, an increase of 4 points since June. Approval is at a new low with only one-third (33%) saying they approve of Trudeau's leadership (-4 points since June).
Pierre Poilievre remains the top pick for Prime Minister among Canadians (45%), while Trudeau lags by 19 points at 26%. Around one-quarter think Jagmeet Singh would make the best Prime Minister, while 6% nationally choose Yves-François Blanchet (25% in Quebec).

Colin Farrell vs Danny DeVito: Who's the better Penguin?
With this week’s new drama “The Penguin,” Oscar-nominated actor Colin Farrell steps back into the role of Oz Cobb, the hardened and upwardly mobile mobster first introduced in 2022’s “The Batman.” The role is a new iteration of the dastardly DC Comics criminal The Penguin, a character that has been portrayed by numerous actors over the years – perhaps most famously by Danny DeVito in Tim Burton’s 1992 film “Batman Returns.” Ahead of his reprisal of the role, Farrell shared that he consulted with DeVito.Farrell said that he and DeVito “shared a few texts back and forth” about the character, but that it was more to joke around “about who’s the best Penguin.
