Tellwut Finds Socks with Sandals the Least Favorite Look for Males this Summer
Toronto, ON (PRWEB) June 10, 2012
Online survey site Tellwut asked over 5,000 people to identify the item of men's fashion that they found the most unpleasant. The socks and sandals ('mandals?') combination, long regarded as one of the more serious of fashion crimes, was the choice of 27% of recipients, possibly not unexpectedly so.
In second place, the tourist's favorite, the fanny pack, aka belt bag or Buffalo pouch polled 21% of the results.
Most controversially though, in joint third place with 13% of the votes were skinny jeans which matched European beachwear swim briefs, popularly speedos, in terms of unpopularity. The inclusion of skinny jeans for men proved somewhat controversial with a number of male respondents questioning whether they should have been on the list. Females though were almost universal in their condemnation of the pants formerly known as drainpipes on anyone with a waist of over 28".
Other items on the list included: toupees (8%), dress pants with sneakers (7%) and lots of jewelry (7%). Dishonorable mentions also go to Crocs, cargo shorts (possibly the fault of Charlie Harper), flip-flops and baggy jeans.
