1 in 3 Republicans believes baseless Taylor Swift election conspiracy theory, poll finds

New data shows that Canadians are investing less money this season as a result of money being tight and apparently for having a lack of basic financial literacy skills. A survey, conducted by Angus Reid for Tangerine Bank, showed that only three per cent of Canadians could identify the meaning of six common acronyms used in banks.This includes, TFSA (Tax-Free Savings Account), RSP (Retirement Savings Plan), GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificates), ETF (Exchange-Traded Fund), ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and ROI (Return on investment).

Most U.S. adults believe that air travel is generally safe in the U.S., despite some doubts about whether aircraft are being properly maintained and remain free from structural problems.

New poll shows Americans care more about the Super Bowl than Valentine’s Day

Americans are more interested in Sunday’s Super Bowl than the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday, according to a new survey. The Marist National Poll, released Thursday, asked Americans “which February event” they were more excited about. Just under 50 percent of respondents said they were more excited about the NFL game, a slight incline from last year’s response to the same question — increasing to 48 percent from 45 percent. About 37 percent said they were more interested in Valentine’s Day activities and 14 percent said they weren’t particularly excited about either upcoming event.
