Americans have a dim view of some of President Donald Trump's early barrage of executive orders, including his attempt to do away with so-called birthright citizenship and his decision to rename the Gulf of Mexico, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found.

Chili’s is pulling off one of the biggest turnarounds in recent restaurant history. Chili’s restaurants open for at least a year increased sales more than 30% last quarter. It is the company’s third-straight quarter of double-digit sales growth. Chili’s success has been fueled by its fast food-like deals, and $6 margaritas. Chili’s also has blown up on TikTok with its “Triple Dipper” platter, which lets customers choose from three appetizers — mozzarella sticks, southwestern egg rolls and chicken wings — for under $20. The platter had been around for decades, but Chili’s started advertising it prominently on social media last spring. Chili’s reported foot traffic increased 20% last quarter.

New survey research from the American Heart Association reveals more Americans are prepared to provide that lifesaving rhythm for their friends, family and community. The newly released data, conducted by Decision Analyst on behalf of the American Heart Association, indicates more U.S. adults now say they feel ready to handle and respond to a cardiac arrest. When Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field during Monday Night Football in January of 2023, nearly seven out of every ten U.S. adults said they would not feel confident to act during a cardiac emergency. Based on the available data at the time, and tracking attitudes since, the Association has since seen a reported increase from 33% to 39% in bystander confidence to be able to perform any type of CPR -- or 17.7 million more Americans feeling confident to act in the event of a lifesaving emergency.
