Results: The hate you give part 2

Over the past week, a verdict was slapped down on the killers of Brianna Ghey at 16 year transgirl from England. Her killers Scarlett Jenkinson and Eddie Ratcliffe both were sentenced to life in prison with miniumum of 22 years. This comes from a long campaign of dehumanizing trans people abroad in England. Did they do Brianna justice by giving these young monsters a proper sentencing?

Sadly this is close to home. This past week a Non-Binary girl named Nex Benedict was ambushed in their highschool in Owasso, Oklahoma by three girls, beating them to death. The school however decided to suspend Nex and send them home instead of calling for paramedics. Nex was taken to a local hospital by their grandmother. But they were released the same day and went to sleep that day with a sore head. The following day, on February 8, as they were preparing to travel with their grandmother for an appointment, Benedict collapsed in the family's living room. An ambulance was called, and Benedict had stopped breathing by the time EMTs arrived. Benedict was declared dead at the hospital that evening. Do you feel this is a hate crime and should be treated as such?

Benedict's attackers have yet to be charged with anything, now the police of Owasso are claiming they didn't die from a head injury. Sounds to me like a cover up over their death is occurring. The attackers haven't been charged, the school isn't being investigated. Do you agree some level of foulness is happening here?

This comes at the hands of the right wing attacks on LGBTQ people especially trans and non-binary people. Passing laws and then when they follow a law and still are harmed. These bills are exactly working as intended. They are NOT meant to protect children. They are meant to hurt and dehumanize a group of people. Do you agree?

Now that being said. I don't care what you think of trans people due to your belief system or backward views. I want you to look at these children and tell me how any shape or form that they deserved what happened to them. They were children in the prime of their life cut down by monsters fueled by hate. Fuel by the likes of the GOP, Chaya Raichik, Elon Musk, etc. I don't care what your belief system is and what some tired outdated book has to say. Nothing EVER justifies killing LGBTQ children or any LGBTQ person in general. This is the hate you give. We are tired of it. I'm tired of it personally. I can take the hate, but these kids can't. I want to protect the children, but do you? Or does that only apply to the straight ones?
