A new report shows that over 80% of Canadians plan to cut back on holiday spending due to rising cost-of-living pressures.

US liquor exports to Canada drop 85 percent

U.S. liquor exports to Canada fell 85% in the second quarter of 2025, dropping to $9.6 million amid trade tensions and Canadian bans on American spirits, according to the Distilled Spirits Council. The majority of Provinces continue to ban American spirits from their shelves. Canada remains the only key trading partner to retaliate against U.S. spirits.
