Can Feng Shui Change Your Life? More Than Half of the Tellwut Panel See it as Possible

Feng shui can be described as a science and as an art, it is defined by Websters as a system of laws considered to govern spatial arrangement and orientation in relation to the flow of energy (qi), and whose favorable or unfavorable effects are taken into account when siting and designing buildings. Almost 30% of Tellwut online survey members had not heard of the practice prior to the March 30th 2017 survey. Basically feng shui can be used to improve a person’s quality of life and overall luck by the arrangement of their possessions in their home and work place. Slightly more than a third of respondents were adamant that this ancient Chinese practice would have no impact on their life if practiced, the majority of poll takers, at 42%, were undecided and the minority of 20% were optimistic that it indeed could have positive effects. Finelife comments, “I think it has validity in the same way that any well done interior design of a home or room, or the siting of outside views of a home can improve someone's mood and make aspects of their life better.” The majority of Tellwut respondents want to see an improvement in their health, followed by their finances, and lastly love and relationships. One of the monetarily minded members of Tellwut said, “looks like i need a jade plant.” The jade plant which is a common house plant, is thought to improve the wealth of those who care for it. Jade plants colloquially known as money plants are a popular addition to households and businesses because they are easy to maintain as they are able to thrive in stuffy conditions and under artificial light. If boosting your health and vitality is a priority plants are also a welcomed feature as are furniture and creations of wood in your living space. The majority of respondents do not feel the urge to learn more about this practice however 30% of survey takers do want to explore the different methods that feng shui can have a positive impact in their daily life. Shona, a panel respondent with a realist point of view said, “Like any placebo, if you believe this will improve your happiness in life it will.” Any self-help guru will tell you that keeping a positive outlook in life is sure improve a situation (or at least lessen the misery). The key take away from feng shui is that it reinforces this tenant of optimism by keeping a living space that is welcoming and inviting. Will you try it?
