Plurality of Americans say NPR, PBS should be federally funded: Survey

A plurality of surveyed Americans say the federal government should continue to fund public broadcasters, according to a new survey. New polling from Pew found 24 percent of surveyed Americans say the U.S. government should not continue to send taxpayer dollars to NPR and PBS, while a larger slice, 43 percent, say federal funding levels to those outlets should stay the same. President Trump and Republicans have accused public broadcasters of bias against them, and some have called for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to be shut down completely.

It Could Be a Bad Year for Allergies

As the weather warms up across North America this spring, pollen and seasonal allergies ramp up as well. AccuWeather has released its latest allergy forecast for 2025, and meteorologists warn that it could be a particularly bad year for many regions. A few reasons include : Warmer winter temperatures leading to earlier and longer blooming seasons for trees and plants, resulting in more pollen circulating in the air, Climate change is contributing to longer and more intense allergy seasons, as warmer temperatures and increased CO2 in the atmosphere allow plants to thrive and produce more pollen, and pollen levels are higher than usual, and the allergy season is starting earlier than expected.
