Results: How an American outsourcing project ended

Some time ago I submitted a survey wondering why some American companies choose outsourcing when what they are paying abroad would still be wanted and needed in the USA. The company I was talking about is a well known American transportation company based in Montgomery, AL. The actual president is a young man living in Boston, Marion C., who takes care of the company with his mother. They were hiring a sales team and team leaders abroad working from home. They were operating during all 2016 till mid November, when they vanished without paying taxes, any benefits for the employees, and they didn't even pay the salaries. The owner doesn't respond to any email or call. He sent an email before vanishing saying the company was robbed. He never showed up to the police department to report this. But the money to pay the carriers vanished with him. We are talking about 75000 to 100000. What is quite curious is that the company started operating almost immediately from another foreign country where they could get employees for a lot less than what they were paying. Those here who mentioned it would be a scam, definitely were right. I thought after all the speech of this young man who was going to church every day he was reliable, not a scammer. His manager was left in an unpaid home office in Buenos Aires, having nowhere to go. Everyone tried to reach the owner and reported him to BBB and he is still not even trying to fix the problem or at least talk to people.

There are some companies that take outsourcing seriously. Others simply use it to scam the workers and service providers. Did you ever get to know about any of these scammers?

Even when these companies might have a good reputation in the USA, they don't keep up with it when they go abroad. Why? Because they know that for the local employees it will be more expensive taking them to court being half a world abroad than just losing their paycheck. Are you aware of this limitation for workers abroad?

This president of the transportation company scammed the truck service providers they used to hire from Central Dispatch too, making up excuses to avoid paying them and still trying to get service from them. I guess that is not very smart and might take him to jail sooner or later. Do you agree that bad business practices will always burn a business' reputation?

This transportation company seemed to be serious while reading reviews. It ended up being a scam, at least for the workers and truck companies. Even though, you can't find any of these claims online ruining their reputation, as the only reviews you will find are from customers, not from employees or truck drivers they hired and didn't pay. After reading this, do you consider reading the reviews only can guarantee when you move your car that you are dealing with a serious service provider?
