Business owners across Canada and the U.S. have been advocating for their right to refuse customers who are unvaccinated, especially if case rates increase. Some have already posted that either proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test is required to attend concerts, movie theatres, sports events and other venues. Do you agree that business owners have the right to refuse entry to anyone who is not vaccinated?

One gym in Toronto has taken the opposite approach. Fearless Boxing Club has posted both signs and on social media, that the boxing club will not be accepting any vaccinated members. "For The Safety Of Our Members, The Fearless Boxing Club Will No Longer Be Accepting Those Who Received The Experimental Covid Vaccine," the founder wrote. "Our Current Members Including Doctors, Nurses, Teachers, Parents And Many Youth Feel Safer Waiting Until More Research Is Done On The Side Effects Being Discovered Right Now." The gym was founded During Ontario's first lockdown with the very goal of flouting public health restrictions. "BUILT in the lockdown, OPENED in the lockdown & WE'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!!" reads The Fearless Boxing Club's Instagram bio. Have you heard of any other businesses that directly violated public health mandates during Covid?

Adamson Barbecue in Toronto first made headlines in November 2020 by illegally reopening for indoor dining, in direct defiance of provincial COVID-19 lockdown rules at the time, as well as the City of Toronto's own municipal bylaws. Much of Toronto watched on via Twitter and Instagram as the "BBQ Anon" or "BBQ rebellion" saga unfolded: from Toronto Public Health's closure notice and changing of the restaurant's locks, to police arriving on horseback to arrest and eventually charge the owner, to the owner's bid to have lockdowns necessitated by the pandemic under the Reopening Ontario Act declared unconstitutional. It all came to a closure recently, when Adamson Barbecue lost its bid, and several weeks later, was closed for non-payment of rent. Have you ever supported a business during the pandemic that defied public health mandates, such as mask mandates or closures?
