Donald Trump's fundamental lack of understanding and basic knowledge of climate change has reared its head again - and it's just as astonishing as ever. In a tweet posted late on Monday evening, the president cited cold weather patterns in the US Midwest and pleaded for 'Global Waming [sic]' to come back. (Yes, he spelled it waming') Not only has Trump once again confused weather and climate change, but he has asked for global warming to make a return (did it ever go away?), while Australia is currently experiencing a record-breaking heat wave with temperatures reaching the high 90s. Do you know the difference between climate and weather?

Global climate change has already had observable effects on the environment. Glaciers have shrunk, ice on rivers and lakes is breaking up earlier, plant and animal ranges have shifted and trees are flowering sooner. Effects that scientists had predicted in the past would result from global climate change are now occurring: loss of sea ice, accelerated sea level rise and longer, more intense heat waves. Yet, some, like Trump feel it is not an crisis, and not worth investing in. Do you agree or disagree that global warming is something we should be concerned about?
