1. Pastor Landon Spradlin, a musical evangelist from Virginia, died of COVID-19 on March 25, 2020 at a hospital in Concord, North Carolina. Spradlin was returning home from an ill-advised mission trip to New Orleans (which he believed should be "washed from its sin and debauchery") when he collapsed and had to be put on a ventilator. Previously Spradlin had shared several posts on his social media account calling COVID-19 a hoax, claiming it was comparable to the flu, and saying it was simply media inspired mass-hysteria created to 'damage President Trump'. He claimed he had protected himself with the 'spirit of God' and posted this phrase on his Facebook page: "As long as I walk in the light of that law [of the spirit of life], no germ will attach itself to me." Spradlin was 66 years old and is survived by his wife Jean Spradlin. Have you read this story in the news?
