Watching the Killing...or Not

1. I'm not here to relitigate any of the recent murders, assassinations, martyrdoms, mass shootings, ad nauseum that have been in the news over the past week (as I write) nor even the past 18 months or however long. But, do you ever watch the aforementioned carnage o newscasts, online videos or where er else?

2. Whether or not you watch killings that make newscasts, do you believe there is value in making available on the video the killings I cited in the previous question?

3. I endeavor to not watch videos of the kinds of killings mentioned in my first question, My thought is that I know unredeemed humanity's capacity for carrying out all manner of evil, so I shouldn't be surprised at any such occurrence. It's, therefore, nothing I need to see in order to know people's potential for inhumanity to other people. Whether or not you agree with my perspective, does it seem reasonable to you?

4. As so often happens when composing a poll, I recall something about my own circumstances,. Before starting to write this question, it occurred to me that I don't think I've ever watched anyone die in any circumstance (not counting fictional moves, TV. etc.). If you watch videos of people in the news dying, to what extent has watching people die in real life prepared you for watching video of people being killed?

5. As I sometimes hope when answering what could be a saddening, discomforting or infuriating survey, do you hope the poll after this is about a wholly different, possibly lighter subject?
