An Atlanta homeowner is accused of shooting two teens he says were trying to steal packages from his porch, and police have now jailed and charged the homeowner.

Some neighbors believe teens are "out of control" and that theft brings consequences, while others say shooting teenagers over packages "makes no sense." The two teens were not killed but were wounded. They do not appear to have been endangering or threatening any person. Do you think it appropriate to shoot and possibly kill porch pirates? It is appropriate to defend property delivered to your front door by shooting (and possibly killing) the thieves.

It's only property. Packages can be replaced, lives cannot. Increase the penalties for porch theft. As long as no one at the home is endangered, shooting is not appropriate.
