Did you hear about the fatal Air Canada crash late Sunday night at Laguardia airport in NY where both Montreal pilots died?

The plane was given clearance to land by ATC who also allowed a firetruck to cross the same runway at the same time. The plane slammed into the side of the truck & both these young pilots died. The firemen were fine but I'm shocked that both of them were given clearance at the same time for this to happen. It was just so avoidable, right?

After the fatal tragedy this ATC operator was still allowed to keep working for over an hour. This is also so troubling because in Canada he would have been removed from his post immediately due to these deaths. Do you think he should have been able to continue his shift after this happened?
