At least 20 people granted clemency by Donald Trump, most of whom participated in the January 6 Capitol riot, have been charged with new crimes, most of which involve sexual assault: Most recently, Jon Ponder, a three-time convicted felon, was arrested for sexual assault-related charges; Andrew Paul Johnson was convicted of child molestation in February, 2025; Zachary Alam was convicted of grand larceny and burglary; Andrew Taake had an outstanding charge of online solicitation of a minor; Edward Kelley was sentenced to life in prison in July, 2025, for plotting to murder FBI special agents; Emily Hernandez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for a fatal DUI crash; David Daniel was indicted for production/possession of child pornography and sexual assault of a minor; Shane Jason Woods was convicted of aggravated DUI and reckless homicide in a wrong-way crash; Theodore Middendorf is currently serving a 19-year sentence after pleading guilty of sexual assault of a seven-year-old child; Jonathan Braun was found guilty of multiple charges, including forcible touching and sexual abuse; Bryan Betancur Battisti was arrested for filming himself while touching women in public; Ryan Yates was arrested in Florida during an undercover prostitution sting; and Daniel Tocci was convicted of possessing more than 100,000 child sexual abuse images and videos.
