Results: Man dies in carsurfing incident in Alonsa area - 22-year-old slid off hood of car while it was moving

A 22-year-old man from the Alonsa, Man., area has died after sliding off the hood of a car as he was riding on the hood, according to RCMP.
Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP were called to Kinosota Front Road, in the Rural Municipality of Alonsa, around 10:55 p.m. Saturday on reports of a collision involving a pedestrian.
Officers found the man, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene, lying on the road, police said in a news release Monday.
Investigators determined that the man was intoxicated and joyriding on the hood of a car when he fell in front of the moving vehicle.
An 18-year-old woman from Portage la Prairie, Man., who was driving the car, was not impaired. She stayed at the scene and has been co-operating with investigators, according to police.
No charges have been laid as of Monday. The RCMP's criminal collision investigation team and a traffic analyst are investigating.
