Sarah Palin finally exacted some revenge on her serial impressionist Tina Fey by starring in a new video spoofing Fey's 30 Rock. In the "31 Rock" fake trailer, produced by the Independent Journal Review, Palin portrays "Lynn Melon" – a nod to Fey's Liz Lemon – "a TV writer who left a small town for the big city." Palin isn't the only recognizable Republican to partake in the Fey-satirizing gag: Lindsey Graham – who just exited the presidential race – plays the 31 Rock page, while Palin's former running mate John McCain makes a quick cameo in a role similar to Alec Baldwin's character. 30 Rock actor Kevin Brown (Dot Com on the original show) also appears in "31 Rock," albeit in the Tracy Morgan role this time. In addition to borrowing the sitcom's plot, Palin also does an admirable job mimicking the neuroses and witty retorts Fey brought to the NBC series. The "31 Rock" sketch is almost convincing enough to make the viewer forget it’s actually a covert commercial for Palin's new book Sweet Freedom: A Devotional. "31 Rock" will debut "this winter on Independent Journal… maybe." Palin's impression comes three days after Fey reprised her caricature of the former vice presidential candidate when she and her Sisters co-star Amy Poehler returned to co-host Saturday Night Live, with Poehler playing 2008 Hillary Clinton alongside Kate McKinnon's current SNL iteration of Hillary.
