Former Georgia congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene says she can "no longer support" the Republican Party in lengthy social media post following time spent with lame duck U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie. "We just said goodbye to our good friends Thomas and Carolyn Massie. The civil war in the Republican Party is successfully gutting the true America Firsters, like myself, Thomas and others," Greene wrote in a May 29 post on X. "But I don't think most Americans realize the extent of what's happening, how bad it is, and what it's going to produce." Greene publicly split from President Trump and his administration in the fall of last year over the handling of the Epstein files. The president went on to refer to her as "Marjorie Traitor Greene," which Greene said resulted in threats to her and her family. The former congresswoman chose not only to not run for reelection during the 2026 cycle, but to resign her position at the beginning of the year, setting off a special election for her seat in Georgia's 14th congressional district. She has continued to be outspoken against the Trump Administration, including in recent weeks as the war in Iran rages on.
