President Donald Trump is reportedly mulling the dismissal of staff members who resisted his agreement with Iran aimed at preventing their nuclear weapons development.
According to sources familiar with the administration speaking to Israel Hayom, officials potentially in the firing line include Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CIA Director John Ratcliffe. "The debate has been settled. Anyone who opposed it could pay a personal price," the source said.
One figure apparently protected from Trump's displeasure is Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who has been measured in his response to avoid criticizing the president's agreement. The publication previously reported that a heated exchange occurred between Vice President JD Vance and Trump regarding the deal several weeks ago. https://www.aol.com/articles/trump-considers-firing-pete-hegseth-124900000.html
