A friend of ours was changing her baby's diaper in a public restroom. Another woman came in, noticed that she was changing the baby with a disposable diaper. The woman then began lecturing her on the environmental impacts of using disposable diapers. The woman accused her of being "bad" to the environment. Have you ever had a stranger approach you in a public place and start an argument?

Do you think it was appropriate for the woman to accost her in a public restroom while she was trying to care for her child?
Yes, no matter what the situation, you need to stand up for what you consider "right". Anytime, anyplace.

No, it was completely inappropriate, if the woman had an issue, she should have waited until they left the restroom.

As it turns out, our friend does her best to be environmentally responsible. She understands the impacts of using disposable diapers, but it's really all she can afford. What are your thoughts on this?
Not being environmentally responsible is inexcusable, she should find the resources to eliminate the use of disposable diapers.

Generally, people do the best they can to be responsible, but considering the costs, it's very difficult.
