How is Franklin Roosevelt not here?!?! He served the longest in office, led our nation through victory in the worlds largest war, and brought our country out of one of if not the biggest economic collapse in U.S. history.

I actually like Obama for the most part. I think he is honestly trying and pretty approachable and open minded and he has done some good things. The things I do not agree on though with his administration is Gay marriage I feel is wrong and also I am pro life I feel abortion is wrong in all situations unless it is to save the life of the mother. I think Abraham Lincoln was prob the most effective Pres though.....he accomplished a great deal of things as President. Not sure who the most ineffective one would be I would need to study more bk to the past presidents and see what all of the lesser heard of ones were about.

bawelme , I was much more surprised that about 80% of forum members have never heard (don't talk about reading) about world-famous Russian authors.... ask same questions Europeans about American authors - results will be complete opposite.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, attitudes. I don't know who's American and who's Canadian and how many of each or other are on this site. I just figure anyone with an opinion about any of it should know something about it, but if you're out for points, fine, whatever. I'm honestly baffled this snowballed into "You **** Americans." For the record, I live in Canada. Ninab, Mulroney.

bawelme...i read the survey and as i really don't care about usa politics i really don't see why i need to know the 16th president. Us Canadians know way more about you "Americans" than you care to ever know about us.

Our country has been on a steady decline for the last 20 years, it started with Bush and has just snowballed with each administration. I don't agree with many of Obama's mistakes, but the "country being torn to bits" started long before he (Obama) got into office. It didn't happen overnight, it was many, many bad decisions from multiple leaders that put us where we are today.

It's kind of hard to answer as far as the LEAST effective. I would say that Obama has been VERY effective-just not in a good way. So, I'm definitely with daba82 on that. Pretty much says it.

How can there be a N/A for who the 16th president was (unless you're making a point that people don't read surveys through or something)? Also, people should probably do a quick Google search if they actually don't know.
