Results: A Modest Proposal
Published on 05/31/2022
No one wants to see school children massacred, and yet no one seems to be able to do anything about it. Many of the proposed solutions focus on defensive measures, but even the best-sounding ones have their problems. Armed guards in schools sounds good, but do we really expect minimum-wage rent-a-cops to step up and put their lives on the line? But lets think a little more creatively here. Why not arm students and teachers and make gun usage part of the curriculum? These are the people at the greatest risk, and many of them will already be familiar with firearms. Imagine: a crazed gunman bursts into a classroom where 20 or more assault rifles are just waiting for an excuse to practice what they have learned. Surprise! Does this sound like a good idea?
