President Franklin D Roosevelt speaking: 'The world abhors conflict - the hand of neighbor shall not be lifted against neighbor, the continuance of the processes of arms presents a challenge to the type of civilization to which all of us have been accustomed. The inheritance of the world (peaceful civilization) rests with the Americans and it must be reborn from the present disaster (German invasions of Scandinavia and the Lowlands). I am a pacifist, you are pacifists too, you and I will act together to defend our American freedom and our civilization'. It appears as though the Americas will encounter an awakening within their pacifism shortly. Time is starting to run out against isolationism?
