Results: Playing A Younger You Part 2

When casting a younger version of a character, sometimes the casting is inspired. Jesse Plemons (Friday Night Lights, The Power Of The Dog) pops up on lists of celebrity look-a-likes all the time thanks to his resemblance to both Matt Damon and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. Oddly, even casting directors noticed the similarities between Plemons and Damon from a young age, and cast Plemons as the younger character played by Matt Damon in the movie, All The Pretty Horses. Sadly, his small part in the movie ended up being cut. But, do you agree this is great casting?

In a role some would say she was born to play, Mamie Gummer personified the 1950s version of Lila, portrayed by her real-life mother Meryl Streep, in the film Evening, based on a Susan Minot novel. Do you think this was great casting?

In Jane The Virgin Gina Rodriguez's character Jane was played by a young Jenny Ortega as her younger self, and both women have made their mark on TV. Do you think this was good casting?

Freddie Highmore, from The Good Doctor, was famously cast in Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, but he also played a younger Max Skinner, played by Russel Crowe, in the film, A Good Year. Do you think this was good casting?
