Wishful Drinking is a 2008 autobiography by actress / writer Carrie Fisher and also a one woman stage show she was in. Takes us through elements of her life with humor and wit. Can be funny as heck but also a bit "don't go this route".
1. Celebrity inbreeding - (Her term). Carrie was the daughter of actress Debbie Reynolds and singer Eddie Fisher. Goes on from there with divorces, marriages, children, deaths. She was married to Paul Simon, later Bryan Lourd. All this sparked by her daughter asking if she was related to someone else. Do you feel you have a convoluted family tree?

Then there were all the tie in products from a Pez dispenser to a full sized statue. Do you think it would be odd or disturbing to see such items with your likeness?

3. Bipolar - Carrie was bipolar. Attempted to treat with alcohol and drugs (hence the title) before getting professional help. Very open about with with humor. She's in an Abnormal Psychology textbook listing the condition with a photo of her as Princess Leia. "So I'm not crazy, that b*tch is!" she quips. Ever have an infliction you approached with a sense of humor?
