Three friends are in a town for a Taylor Swift concert. There is a water leak at their hotel so they have to find another one. Without a reservation the manager at the new hotel tells them the room will be $300 for a room that usually costs less. With nowhere else to go, they each reluctantly pay $100 and head up to their room. A short time later the night manager sees how much they were charged and takes five $10 bills from the till and asks the bellhop to tell them the room will now be $250. On the way there the bellhop decided to keep $20 for himself and gives them $30 or $10 each. So now each of them have paid $90 each. Three times $90 is $270 plus the $20 for the bellhop equals $290. Where did the other $10 go? Do you know? Yes
