Heredity is a psychological horror thriller that has been lauded as "the best of its kind since The Exorcist and Rosemary's Baby" and "destined to be a classic". It is from first time director Ari Aster, who also wrote the screenplay, and stars the talented Toni Collette. The movie deals with the aftermath of the death of Ellen, the matriarch of the Graham family, and how her daughter's family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited. Have you seen this movie, and what was your reaction to it?

(SPOILER ALERT) If you did not see the movie, just check off first answer -- Some of the articles mention that the miniature creations are a metaphor and a foreshadowing of some of the horror that will be taking place. They also mention that if you look at the movie as Peter's story, rather than his mother Annie's story, it makes much more sense. Many people who saw The Sixth Sense went back to watch the movie again, once they knew the premise of the movie, which was revealed at the very end. Do you sometimes check for these types of articles after you see a movie, and then go see a movie again (or watch it again on Netflix, etc)?
