1. Roy Lee Dennis, born in California in 1961, lived with one of the rarest conditions in the world — craniodiaphyseal dysplasia. This genetic disorder affects only about 1 in 220 million people, causing the skull bones to thicken and reshape over time. Doctors warned Roy that he might lose his sight, his hearing, and that his life would be short. But instead of giving in, Roy chose to live with courage, humor, and an unstoppable spirit. Nicknamed "Rocky", he loved motorcycles, baseball, and Elvis Presley. He taught himself to read, walked into school every day with bravery, and showed everyone that strength is more than what we see on the outside. Have you ever heard of this remarkable young man with a disfigured face? (The lady in the photo is his mother)
