As far as I know the idea life imitates art goes back to Greek philosopher Aristotle. Concept called "mimesis". Oscar Wilde stated "Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life" in 1889. The Phantom Menace - first in the Star Wars series. Tells of young Obi-wan, and Anakin Skywalker who'll become Darth Vader. Then there's a cloaked dude behind the scenes secretly manipulating civil war and his eventual rise Emperor. Is it just me, or does any of this ring a bell with some about current events / powers that be?

Send in the clones - Dude in the cloak turns out to be senator Palpatine, a Sith Lord. Next step, army of clones. Idea to cause more chaos for Jedi protectors and an army he can later control. This leads to the three year long Clone Wars. Do you fear the powers that be going this route, let's send in the troops, ICE, whatever?

Rogue One - there are those who don't stand for it. An underground Alliance begins. Matters ramp up with the space station Death Star which can destroy planets. Jyn Erso is the daughter of a scientist forced into helping design this thing. The trailer below has scenes and dialog not used in the final film, but wish it was. So, if sheet hit the fan, would you think yourself "underground" rebelling against the powers that be?
