The Last House is a 2026 sci-fi survival thriller film on Netflix directed by Louis Leterrier. It stars Greta Lee and Wagner Moura as parents who find themselves and their children inexplicably sealed inside their home by a mysterious, invisible force while relentless rain pours outside. They try to leave their house, only to discover that every door and window is permanently locked and blocked by an unseen phenomenon. They soon realize they are not alone—the entire neighborhood and world are facing the exact same inexplicable lockdown. As days turn into weeks, months, and even years, modern luxuries and food run thin, forcing the family to rely on their wits, resourcefulness, and each other to stay alive while eerie silhouettes move in the rain outside. In L.A., some 30 feet above the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Selma Avenue, a billboard promoting the film brings The Last House's chilling premise to life. Trapped inside the billboard is a man, hired by Netflix, to remain in the living room built into the structure. The billboard asks "How long can you survive?" Onlookers can catch a glimpse of the performer through the clear windows. Do you think this is a clever tie-in to promote the film?

The trailer attached may be too much for some of you, so watch with this warning in mind, or don't. Not giving too much away, the featured family has to be very resourceful in order to survive -- they grow their own food, by using collected seeds and the subsoil layer inside the house. to grow plants, trap animals and gather water through their improvised exterior setups. Not taking into account the external forces threatening your escape, how long do you think you could survive inside your home RIGHT NOW if you were suddenly trapped without any warning?
I'd be lucky if I could survive a day!
