I could have answered the title's quiestion with "Yes," but that may have confused the matter.

Looking at kinda hipster-ish music website Stereogum.com's list of the best new bands of 2019, I noticed a trend, though it has seemingly been one for several years: single-syllable word band names. Listed below are acts comprising at least two members and listed in Stereogum's best new bands lists from 2015 to this year and similarly-named acts on current airplay charts for U.S. commercial alternative, adult album alternative and active-or hard-rock radio formats. Which of them have you heard, heard of, or are at least intrigued to hear based on their names?

Single-syllable word band names aren't the only ones that can be so generic as to be confusing when music aficionados may be seeking their work. Perhaps this has changed in the internet age. Regardles of whomever you were looking up has/had a one-syllable word name, have you ever sought out music by a band whose name's frustratingly indistinct?
