The piano was invented in Italy in 1698 by the harpsichord maker Bartolomeo di Francesco Cristofori. Many believe he was an apprentice under the great violin maker Nicolò Amati, where he learned his craftsmanship and skills. Before constructing the piano, he made harpsichords, organs, and other instruments .......... Do you like the sound of harpsichord?

One of Cristofori's original pianos (1720) is still in existence at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and is the oldest piano in the world ............Have you been to the Metropolitan Museum of Art?

Elisha Gray (1835 – 1901) was an American electrical engineer who created the first electronic keyboard in 1874. He was experimenting with telegraph technology and the possibility of using it to transmit sound. The device he built, called "Harmonic Telegraph" could play two octaves of a magnetically generated sound, and transmitted the music through telegraph wires ..............
