The Sunday between Christmas 2025 and New Year's Day 2026, to supplement the online mini-service streamed online by the mothership church under which my home congregation has been subsumed, I took in the in-person service at the church closest to me, a small Baptist flock a couple blocks from my apartment building. During his sermon, the preacher mentioned some details of his own coming to faith in the mid-1980's, including how he burned (!) all his music tapes upon receiving Christ. Have you ever known someone who drastically altered his/her art and entertainment consumption because of an extreme ilfe change?
Yes (and I may be such a person)

What this reverend was talking about wasn't a foreign concept to me, as I've head of other people doing the same when they became Christian; and I respect what he believed was his being obedient to God' s will for him. He didn't mention whose music he incinerated, nor did I ask him (but am I curious?; oh, yes!). How easily do you think you could rid yourself of favorite music, books, movies, tv shows, etc. were you to believe you were divinely impressed upon to do away with them?
Easily (and I may he already done so)
