Now, I know my daughter will absolutely disagree, but the Twilight franchise -- movies based on the best selling novels by Stephenie Meyer -- were bad. And they got worse as the movies were released: Twilight (2008), New Moon (2009), Eclipse (2010), Breaking Dawn Part 1 (2011), and Breaking Dawn Part 2 (2012). Oddly enough, as the movies got worse, the soundtracks got better. The franchise's music did start out strong; music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas spent years cultivating a signature sound style for the supernatural tween series, which helped to launch the careers of several musical newcomers. But as the budgets grew this allowed Patsavas to enlist the likes of better known artists as the series unfolded. Have you ever purchased or downloaded soundtracks even if you have not watched the movie/movies?

The 1980 film Flash Gordon is widely regarded as a campy cult classic with poor acting and cheap special effects, yet it is famous for a top-notch soundtrack composed and performed by Queen. The soundtrack, featuring standout tracks like "Flash's Theme" and "The Hero", almost made the movie watchable...almost. The movie is frequently cited as one of the best examples of a bad movie saved by a great soundtrack. Do you agree that with Queen behind a soundtrack, it would be pretty hard to go wrong (at least music wise)?
Absolutely!
