Katherine Dawn Lang, known as k.d. lang, is a pop/country singer-songwriter from Alberta, Canada. Rising in the 1980's with the Reclines, she won four Grammys for hits like "Constant Craving". Her career received a huge boost when Roy Orbison chose her to record a duet of his song "Crying" for which they won a Grammy. There is a video of her singing "Crying" at a Roy Orbison tribute that is amazing. She performed "Hallelujah" at the opening cermonies of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.
