The Tragically Hip was a Canadian rock band formed in Kingston, Ontario in 1984. They have received many Canadian music awards and between 1996 and 2016 they were the best selling Canadian band in Canada. In 2015 lead vocalist Gord Downie was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. The band then embarked on a tour of Canada. The tour's final concert, which would be the band's last show, was held in Kingston and broadcast globally by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation as a cross platform television, radio and internet streaming special. After Downie died in October of 2017, the band decided they would no longer perform under the name "Tragically Hip". Are you a fan of them?
